I’ve been a stay-at-home dad for 10 years. During this time I’ve worked, in a limited capacity, at my wife’s business. Should I seek full-time employment, separate from my responsibilities at her office, prior to our divorce, or should I wait until the divorce is finalized?

In the jurisdictions I am licensed in I would suggest you remain at your current job while the divorce is pending. If you do not wish to continue working for your wife’s business when the divorce is complete, you may need to find alternate employment.
Sometimes, in situations like this, parties are able to continue working together even though they are not going to remain married. Additionally, you do not want to make a big move before the divorce that might change any support obligation your wife might have to you or might change your custody and parenting time situation.
In general, the status quo is what the court’s want to continue while we are working through the divorce process. I would suggest that you reach out to an attorney in your jurisdiction to review your specific rights and responsibilities in a divorce so that you can determine your best plan in advance of the process beginning.
