Joseph Cordell on the dangers of social networking

Attorney Joe CordellThe St. Petersburg Times is the latest publication to feature Joseph Cordell reminding men of the dangers of using social networks during and after divorce.

The paper wrote about what Cordell has long warned clients; people who participate in social media have become much more vulnerable.

“You have access to inner thoughts and frank conversations that in the past were virtually unheard of,” said Cordell, principal partner of Cordell & Cordell.

But, as the article outlines, pictures are the biggest tell. Cordell told the Times about pictures found online of one woman snorting cocaine off of a key and another holding a bottle of vodka in one hand and a baby in the other.

“During one custody battle, a mother posted photos of her children. A friend commented. The children don’t look much like him. The mother replied. That’s because they’re not his.”

The attorneys at Cordell & Cordell are committed to teaching clients about the perils of social networking. Attorney Jennifer Paine recently wrote a two-part article on this topic. Part 1 addressed how e-admissions on social networks can hurt your divorce. Part 2 discussed how you can still maintain your social network profile without compromising your divorce case.

Cordell & Cordell is a national domestic litigation firm focusing on helping men with divorce issues.
