One of the major challenges that divorced and still-married parents face is finding and paying for quality child care.
In December, Child Care Aware, a group that provides resources to parents and caregivers, published a report analyzing the high cost of child care in the United States. According to the report, paying for child care takes up at least a quarter of the median income of single parents.
Child Care Aware director of policy Michelle McCready recently joined DadsDivorce Live to discuss the study’s findings, assess the reasons why child care costs have risen so high and offer solutions for creating more affordable child care options.
