Dr. Emily M. Douglas is an associate professor at Bridgewater State University and one of the few academics to study male domestic violence victims. As part of her research, Dr. Douglas worked on the Men’s Experiences with Partner Aggression Project. She has also examined men who have sought help after facing partner violence.
Dr. Douglas’ research shed light on many of the issues that male domestic violence victims face and also provided empirical evidence that there are a significant number of men in the U.S. faced with domestic violence who struggle to find adequate help and support.
