Maryland Seeks Input on Child Support Guidelines

This Wednesday and Thursday evening The Department of Human Resources will seep public input on proposed revisions to Maryland’s child support guidelines.

One of the issues to be discussed is the minimal dollar amount that a low-income, non-custodial parent requires for his or her own shelter, food and clothing.

The department will sponsor six regional forums to solicit public comments. The public is welcome to attend any session.

Sessions include:

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Allegany County Department of Social Services, One Frederick St., Cumberland, Md.

6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Montgomery College-Rockville Campus, 51 Mannakee St., Theatre Arts Building, Rockville, Md.

The public is invited to attend. Contact Melody Lewis at 410-767-7065 or via e-mail at mlewis2@dhr.state.md.us to confirm your attendance.
