Video: Cordell & Cordell News – April 24, 2015

Dads Divorce, sponsor Cordell & Cordell and sister site MensDivorce.com have teamed up to present a series of weekly recap videos to keep you informed on the latest news and top stories.

This week, Cordell & Cordell posted a column by Principal Partner Joe Cordell for Financial Advisor Magazine explaining how critical it is to consider all the different financial ramifications of getting a divorce

Too often, Mr. Cordell wrote, individuals assume life will be much better following divorce and allow emotions to dictate their decisions. Divorce is possibly the most important financial decision a person will make in their life and all the ramifications should be considered before ending a marriage.

Dads Divorce added a new video to its DadsDivorce Live series featuring an interview with Yale University professor Catherine Panter-Brick.

Ms. Panter-Brick and her colleagues recently conducted a study that revealed a worldwide bias in how fathers are engaged in parenting programs. Frequently, the services provided by these programs are catered strictly to mothers.

Men’s Divorce published a new article by Tennessee family law attorney Megan Williams detailing the process for obtaining emergency temporary custody of your children.

To have grounds to request emergency temporary custody, a father must prove there are serious circumstances that justify an emergency change, such as potential danger that will occur to the child.
