All the way through the 1990s, the majority of parenting research focused primarily on mothers. The contributions fathers made to raising their children were largely ignored.
However, that’s started to change the past couple decades as more recent studies have been devoted to understanding dads and the unique contributions they’re able to make to their children’s lives.
