Video: Cordell & Cordell News – May 15, 2015

Dads Divorce, sponsor Cordell & Cordell and sister site MensDivorce.com have teamed up to present a series of weekly recap videos to keep you informed on the latest news and top stories.

This week, Cordell & Cordell announced the launch of a new office in London, England. The office marks the firm’s first in the United Kingdom.

As in the U.S., men are still often unfairly represented in family courts in the UK. With the opening of a London branch, Cordell & Cordell is aiming to bridge the gender gap that has existed in family law for too long.

Dads Divorce posted a new article about shared-parenting legislation being considered in states across the U.S.

Nearly 20 states are considering measures that would lead to more balanced child custody arrangements following divorce. This movement coincides with the release of a new study that shows the benefits of shared parenting.

Men’s Divorce added a new article about how the custody of pets is determined when couples divorce.

Historically, disputes regarding pet custody has been settled using property laws. But changing societal feelings have changed how pets are considered and they now hold an unofficial place above mere property.
