Dads Divorce, sponsor Cordell & Cordell and sister site have teamed up to present a series of weekly recap videos to keep you informed on the latest news and top stories.

This week, Cordell & Cordell posted a radio appearance Joe Cordell made on “Business for Breakfast.” Mr. Cordell discussed the importance of planning for divorce.

Divorce should always be treated as a nuclear option, but when an individual realizes that a divorce is unavoidable, there are steps that can be taken to put themselves at a financial advantage.

Dads Divorce added a video to its DadsDivorce Live series featuring an interview with Cordell & Cordell regional partner Kelly Burris. Ms. Burris explained the particulars of a 50/50 child custody bill that is making its way through the Texas state legislature.

Texas is one of a number of states considering passing laws that would help level the custody playing field.

Men’s posted a new Attorney Bites video with Cordell & Cordell family law attorney Kimberly McCabe. Ms. McCabe explained what you should do if unexpectedly served with divorce papers.

It is important when served with papers concerning any family law matter to carefully read over them to determine what they are about and to see if you have a scheduled hearing date. If there is any confusion, you should consult with an attorney.
