For the past couple years, alimony reform has been a controversial topic in Florida.
Recently, Florida Governor Rick Scott vetoed SB668, which supporters say would have modernized the state’s alimony statutes and led to a more even playing field in child custody disputes. This is the second time in the last three years Scott has struck down an update to Florida’s alimony laws.
