It is best to meet with a domestic litigation attorney in your area because they will be familiar with the specific laws in your region.

Many divorce clients tend to listen to their friends who have been through a divorce or who know people who have been through a divorce; that is not usually the best strategy since divorce cases are heavily fact dependent and no two divorces are the same.

Many domestic litigation attorneys will be happy to meet with you to discuss your particular case and give you some pointers about how to best approach your divorce and protect your individual rights.

Remember, I am unable to provide you with anything more than general divorce tips, so please consult a domestic litigation attorney in your area to obtain specific advice as to the laws in your state and how they impact your circumstances.
