When parents decide to divorce, it thrusts their children into a frightening, stressful world. They are inevitably faced with situations and emotions that can be difficult to understand and reconcile.
Jesse Boring understands this because he watched his parents separate when he was a child. As part of his dissertation at Arizona State University’s Prevention Research Center, Boring created an online program called “Children of Divorce – Coping with Divorce” that equips children with coping strategies to handle those emotional stressors.
Boring recently joined DadsDivorce Live to discuss how the program was developed and the ways in which in can help children of divorce overcome the challenges of seeing their parents split.
